The Bunkpurugu-Yunyoo District is a district of the North East Region in northern Ghana and was separated from the East Mamprusi District in 2004 . The district shares a border with neighboring Togo .

The district has a very heterogeneous ethnic composition. The largest group are the Bimobas , Konkombas and Mamprusis . There are also Mossi , Tallensi , Haussa , Fulbe , Dagombas and Tschokossi .
