Buret District was a district in the Kenyan province of Rift Valley . The capital of the district was Litein . In 1999, 316,000 people lived in the district on 955 km². The main industry was agriculture. Mainly maize and tea were grown in the district. As part of the 2010 constitution , the Kenyan districts were dissolved. The area is now part of Kericho County .
