The castle Aichstetten is an Outbound Wasserburg the type of tower castle on a former island in the Aitrach in the municipality Aichstetten in the district of Ravensburg in Baden-Württemberg .
The moated castle was located southwest of the church, probably in the area of today's brewery. On the Landtafel Zeil from 1610 it is shown as a multi-storey tower castle with stepped gables and an extension. When the castle was built is not known, the local nobility of Aichstetten has been named with Adelheid von Aichstetten since the 12th or 13th century . In 1491, the purchased house Waldenburg the rule Aichstetten , there sat an administrative office of a Rentmeister's and bailiff one. It is possible that the tower castle was not built until this time or even at a later time. It was no longer mentioned after the Thirty Years War .
