Historical descriptions mention a former castle on a hill in front of Groß-Allmendingen in the direction of Ehingen . Remnants were no longer visible even then. The last residents named are the lords von Renner, who moved to Ehingen in 1527 and let the castle fall into disrepair. The foundations of the square complex are said to have been visible in 1886.
