The Altenberg , even Altenburg called, is a Outbound hilltop castle on 560 m above sea level. NN north of the city of Dietenheim in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg .
The castle, built by the Counts of Kirchberg, is located in a wooded area about 330 meters west-north-west of the Gerthof between the current district of Reggisweiler and Dietenheim. Only the remains of ramparts and moats are evidence of the former castle complex .
