The castle Ametshausen even Schlüsselburg called, is an Outbound Spur castle in spur position at 579 m above sea level. NN 2400 meters northeast of the Gutenzell district of the Gutenzell-Hürbel community , in the district of the hamlet of Niedernzell in the Biberach district in Baden-Württemberg . It is around 579 meters above sea level .
history
The castle, which was probably built in the 12th century by the Lords of Ametshausen, was destroyed in the 13th century. Presumably other owners were the lords of Schluesselburg.
A remnant of the moat can still be seen from the former oval castle complex. Today the area is used as an agricultural area.
