The castle Auchtbühl is an Outbound Spur castle on a flat mountain ridge at 691.4 m above sea level. NN in a loop of the Danube 650 meters southeast of Neidingen , a district of the municipality of Beuron in the district of Sigmaringen in Baden-Württemberg .
history
The castle was built by the 13th century at the latest, and was mentioned as a castle stables together with the Schauenburg as early as 1497 ("the burgstall enhalb [= on the other side, ie opposite the Schauenburg] of the Thonow") owned by the Lords of Hausen .
The former castle complex had a total area of 4600 square meters with a core castle of 800 square meters. Today's Burgstall only shows the remains of a wall and two moats .
