The castle Bäslack was a Teutonic castle of the Teutonic Order in the then East Prussian city Bäslack ( Polish Bezławki ).

history

To protect against the Lithuanians, a game house was built on the left bank of the Deime ( Dajna in Polish ), which was secured on three sides by a swamp; it was only accessible from the north. The facility was first mentioned in 1402. The place received in 1371 the hand-held festivals of the Commander of Balga .

When the defense system was no longer needed, it was converted into a Protestant church in 1583 . The church tower was built in 1726–1730. The church was renovated in 1988 and has served the Catholic community ever since .
