The castle Genkingen is next to the castle Hohengenkingen and the so-called stone house, a local castle, the third castle on Genkinger district. It is an abandoned hilltop castle north of the village of Genkingen, a part of the municipality of Sonnenbühl in the Reutlingen district in Baden-Württemberg .

Nothing is known about the castle of the noble lords of Genkingen, who are mentioned several times in deeds of donation to the Zwiefalten monastery .
