The Castle Green Castle is an Outbound hilltop castle above the Gauchach in Löffingen - Unadingen in Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald in Baden-Württemberg .
history
In 1297 the lords of Grünburg, the presumed builders of the castle and ministerials of the Fürstenbergs , were first mentioned; the monastery of St. Gallen also had rights to the castle. In 1323 the Fürstenberg Castle Grünburg was sold to the Lords of Blumberg . Part of the castle later became the property of the von Bern family and, in 1452, the Lords of Almshofen . Heinrich von Almshofen was the last inhabitant of the castle around 1473, in 1487 it was only referred to as " Burgstall " in the possession of Jürg von Almshofen . In 1513, Count Wilhelm von Fürstenberg acquired the castle. Small remains of the wall have been preserved from the castle complex.
