Orschwiller (German Orschweiler ) is a French commune with 603 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It is located in the agglomeration between Sélestat (German Schlettstadt ) and Ribeauvillé ( Rappoltsweiler ) and belongs to the Communauté de communes de Sélestat . The Hohkönigsburg lies above the village .

The municipal administration is housed in a half-timbered house, of which there are many in Orschwiller. Outside the populated area is the Saint-Maurice church , which is also claimed by the neighboring parish of Saint-Hippolyte ( Sankt Pilt ). Other monuments are included in the relevant list .

Orschwiller is a wine village on the Alsace Wine Route . Its Praelatenberg vineyard, which partially belongs to the neighboring village of Kintzheim ( Kinzheim ), is an Alsace Grand Cru location.
