Saint-Pierre-Bois (German Sankt Petersholz ) is a French commune with 771 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Sélestat-Erstein and the Canton of Mutzig .
geography
The municipality of Saint-Pierre-Bois is located in the Vosges , about ten kilometers northwest of Sélestat . In the south, the municipality extends into the Giessental .
The municipality includes the villages and hamlets of Hohwarth (until 1919 Hohwart), Hunschwiller and Hutten .
Neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-Bois are Reichsfeld and Blienschwiller in the northeast, Dambach-la-Ville in the east, Scherwiller in the southwest, Châtenois (point of contact) in the south, Neubois and Thanvillé in the southwest, Saint-Maurice and Triembach-au-Val in the west and Albé in the northwest.
