Wittisheim is a French commune with 2054 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Arrondissement Sélestat-Erstein , the canton Sélestat and the Ried de Marckolsheim community association . The Rhine-Rhône Canal runs east of the town .

Neighboring communities are Bindernheim and Hilsenheim in the north, Sundhouse in the southeast , Schwobsheim in the south and Muttersholtz in the west . The distance to the north of Strasbourg is about 45 kilometers.
