Blienschwiller (German Blienschweiler ) is a clustered village and a French commune with 321 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ).
The place is on the eastern edge of the North Vosges . Départementsstrasse D 35 runs through the center of the village and is part of the Alsace Wine Route here . The dominant branch of the economy is agriculture with arable and viticulture . The Winzenberg vineyard is an Alsace Grand Cru vineyard.
history
From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Blienschwiller belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Schlettstadt district in the Lower Alsace district .
