geography

The Vosges community of Breitenbach is located in the valley of the Breitenbach stream of the same name , a side valley of the Ruisseau du Giessen de Steige , which flows over the Giessen to the Ill . In the northwest, Breitenbach is connected to the Breuschtal via the 961 m high Col de la Charbonnière, and to the northeast via the 766 m high Col du Kreuzweg with the Andlautal .

The district of Kriegersmatt also belongs to Breitenbach .

The neighboring communities of Breitenbach are Le Hohwald in the northeast, Albé in the southeast, Saint-Martin in the south, Maisonsgoutte and Steige in the southwest and Bellefosse in the northwest.
