Rountzenheim (German Runzenheim ) is a commune déléguée in the French commune of Rountzenheim-Auenheim with 1,037 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ) in France . The villagers call themselves Rountzenheimois .
The municipality of Rountzenheim merged with Auenheim on January 1st, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Rountzenheim-Auenheim. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Rountzenheim belonged to the arrondissement of Haguenau-Wissembourg and the canton of Bischwiller .
Infrastructure
The residential quarters of Auenheim and Rountzenheim are right next to each other. There is a motorway connection to the A35 in the west. The D 463 leads through Rountzenheim to the D468. There is a rail link from the SNCF .
