Mairie Auenheim

Auenheim is a commune déléguée in the French commune of Rountzenheim-Auenheim with 900 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ).

The municipality of Auenheim merged with Rountzenheim on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Rountzenheim-Auenheim. Since then it has had the status of a Commune déléguée. The municipality of Auenheim belonged to the Arrondissement of Haguenau-Wissembourg and the canton of Bischwiller .

Auenheim is located on the Moder , about 16 kilometers southwest of Rastatt . Neighboring communities of Auenheim were Rountzenheim in the west and north, Rœschwoog in the northeast, Fort-Louis in the southeast, Stattmatten in the south and Sessenheim in the southwest. A number of buildings from the Maginot Line can still be found in Auenheim .
