The municipality of Rœschwoog is located in the Upper Rhine Plain, near where the Moder flows into the Rhine . The Rhine, which forms the border with Germany, is four kilometers from the center of Rœschwoog. The cities of Haguenau , Rastatt and Baden-Baden are each around 18 kilometers away. A section of the A 35 ( Lauterbourg - Strasbourg - Basel ) runs in the north-west of the municipality .

history

Rœschwoog received a railway connection in 1876 with the opening of the Wörth – Strasbourg line. In 1895, starting from Rœschwoog station, which is located in the north-west of the village, a connection to the Rheinbahn was established via the Haguenau - Rœschwoog - Rastatt line.

Rœschwoog was on the Maginot Line .
