history
Mittelschaeffolsheim was an imperial village .
From 1871 until the end of the First World War , Mittelschaeffolsheim belonged to the German Empire as part of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine and was assigned to the Strasbourg district in the Lower Alsace district .
On January 1, 2015, the municipality moved from the Arrondissement Strasbourg-Campagne to the Arrondissement Haguenau-Wissembourg .
