Siegen is a French commune with 508 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Haguenau-Wissembourg and the Canton of Wissembourg . The residents call themselves Siegenois . They are also called the wolves , in the Alsatian dialect "Siegemer Woelf".

The municipality of Siegen is about ten kilometers southwest of Lauterbourg and five kilometers south of the Lauter , which marks the border with Rhineland-Palatinate .
