Stattmatten is located in the Upper Rhine Plain , 20 kilometers east of Haguenau and 20 kilometers southwest of Rastatt . The lower Moder flows through the municipality . Neighboring communities of Stattmatten are Rountzenheim-Auenheim with Auenheim in the north, Fort-Louis in the east, Dalhunden in the south and Sessenheim in the west.
