Trimbach is a French commune with 574 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the canton of Wissembourg in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). The landscape in the lower Alsace is slightly hilly, but the village has nothing to do with the well-known wine-growing domain of the same name , which is about 130 kilometers further south.

Jewish population

The synagogue was built in 1865 and was demolished in the 1960s.

Until 1930 the rabbi von Soultz-sous-Forêts was responsible for Trimbach.
