The castle Kittenberg today is the remains of a hilltop castle on the 422 meter high Kittenberg at the community Gleisweiler in the district of Southern Wine Route in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The castle was an early medieval section fortification ( Wallburg ) with a wall length of 193 meters. From the former castle, the history of which is unknown, remains of moats and walls have been preserved.
