The castle Wolfsberg is a moated castle in Lüdinghausen in Coesfeld . Only one wing remained of the complex, the core of which probably dates from the 16th century.

House Wolfsberg, first mentioned in 1271, was owned by the Wolff von Lüdinghausen family at that time . Since the permanent house had been built without the episcopal approval, it was destroyed in 1271; Not until 1314 was the formal approval for a new building, which was destroyed again in 1324. It was rebuilt until 1337. Around 1380 the house was married to von Hake and, after the von Hake zu Wolfsberg family died out in 1537, to von Schenckinck. In 1549 Johann von der Recke zu Heessen acquired the estate as a result of his marriage to Ermgard von Schenckinck. In 1778 von Boeselager inherited the castle and estate.

The current appearance is determined by renovations in the late 18th century. It is a simple, elongated plastered building with a crooked hip roof and a uniaxial central projection .
