The Burgdorfer Kreisblatt was a daily newspaper published in Burgdorf in the Hanover region , Lower Saxony , which temporarily referred to itself in the subtitle as a "non-partisan and independent home paper" and also functioned as an official publication. The last paper published by Burgdorfer Verlag Rumpeltin first appeared in the 19th century and is documented from 1869.

During the time of National Socialism and in the middle of World War II , the Burgdorfer Kreisblatt was last published in April 1945. The subsequent continuation of the daily newspaper was not discontinued until 1986 with issue 100 of the 121st year.

The Burgdorfer Tageblatt appeared for about a year from May 1986 to June 1987, followed from 1987 by the Anzeiger für Burgdorf as a supplement to the Neue Presse and the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung (HAZ).
