Frazer Edward Clarke (* 7. August 1991 ) is a British boxer in the super heavyweight .

Career

The 1.92 m tall super heavyweight was British youth champion in 2009 and took part in the 2009 European Youth Championships in Poland , where he was eliminated 3-2 by Tony Yoka in the quarter- finals. At the Commonwealth Championships in India in 2010 , he won a bronze medal after losing to Joseph Parker in the semi-final (3-7).

In 2012 he started at the U22 European Championships in Russia and won again bronze after losing to Gassan Gimbatow in the semifinals with 13:19. In 2014 he won the Strandja tournament in Bulgaria with a final victory against Bahodir Jalolov (3: 0), the Golden Belt tournament in Romania , the Tammer tournament in Finland and the EU championships in Bulgaria with victories against Tony Yoka (3: 0), among others . 0) and Guido Vianello (3-0).

In 2015 he secured the English and British championships, as well as the tournament victory at the President's Cup in Turkey and the Olympic Test Event in Brazil , where he also defeated Erik Pfeifer (2: 1). In 2016 he started for the British Lionhearts in the World Series of Boxing (WSB) and reached the final with the team, which was lost to the team from Cuba. However, he won each of his five fights this season against Ahmed Bourous (3-0), Nigel Paul (TKO), Wladyslaw Sirenko (TKO), Qamschybek Qongqabaev (2-0) and Lenier Pero (TKO).

In June 2017 he won the silver medal at the European Championships in Ukraine . With wins against Aleksander Stawirej (5: 0), Kem Ljungquist (4: 1) and Djamili-Dini Aboudou (4: 1) he reached the final, which he lost to Wiktor Wychryst (0: 5).

At the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia , he won the gold medal by beating Toese Vousiutu (5: 0), Patrick Mailata (3: 2) and Satish Kumar (5: 0). He won another gold medal at the 2018 EU Championships in Spain after beating Dean Gardiner (4: 1), Aleksander Stawirej (5: 0), Marko Milun (5: 0) and Petar Belberow (5: 0).

At the 2019 European Games in Belarus , he was eliminated against Nelvie Tiafack (2: 3). At the 2019 World Championships in Yekaterinburg , he defeated Vladan Babić (5: 0) and Mourad Aliev (4: 1), which made him the quarter-finals. There he defeated the Russian Maxim Babanin (3: 2) when he entered the medal ranks, but after an objection by the Russian boxing association, Babanin was subsequently declared the winner. An AIBA jury had seen the clearer hits for the Russian after evaluating the third round.
