Guido Vianello

Guido Vianello (born May 9, 1994 in Rome ) is an Italian boxer who fought as an amateur in the super heavyweight division .

Amateur career

Guido Vianello is 1.98 m tall and weighs 102 kg. He was Italian junior champion in 2010, Italian youth champion in 2012 and Italian champion in 2013. At the 2014 EU Championships in Sofia , he defeated Dean Gardiner from Ireland (3-0) and Mikheil Bakhtidze from Georgia (3-0), lost in the final to Frazer Clarke from England (0-3) and thus won the silver medal. He ended the 2015 European Championships in Samokow in the round of 16 with a defeat against Russian Magomed Omarow (1: 2), after defeating Poland's Paweł Wierzbicki (3: 0). Against Dean Gardiner (0: 3) he also lost in the round of 16 at the 2015 European Games in Baku .

In the 2016 European Olympic qualification in Samsun , he defeated Vladan Babić from Serbia (3: 0), but lost in the second fight against Məhəmmədrəsul Məcidov from Azerbaijan (0: 3), which meant he had to go to Baku for the worldwide Olympic qualification. There he won the tournament with wins against Rafael Lima from Brazil (3: 0), Mou Haipeng from China (3: 0), Marlo Moore from the USA (3: 0) and Dean Gardiner (3: 0). In the last sixteen of the 2017 European Championships in Kharkiv he lost to Russian Maxim Babanin (2: 3). He was also subject to this in the round of 16 at the 2017 World Championships in Hamburg , after defeating Nigel Paul in the preliminary round .

Professional career

In November 2018, Vianello announced his move to professional life, his promoter is Top Rank from the USA. He made his professional debut on December 8, 2018.
