Dean Gardiner (* 29. February 1988 in Tipperary ) is an Irish amateur boxer in the super heavyweight .

Career

The 1.95 m left boom weighs around 105 kg. He took part in the EU Championships 2014 (6th place), the European Games 2015 (7th place) and the European Championships 2015 (9th place). In the European Olympic qualification in 2016 he was eliminated in the second fight against Məhəmmədrəsul Məcidov and then started in the global qualification, where he reached the final against Satish Kumar , Wiktor Wychryst and Aleksei Zavatin, but lost there against the Italian Guido Vianello and thus did not get an Olympic ticket could.

In 2017 he won the Round Robin Tournament in Dublin against Djamili-Dini Aboudou and Guido Vianello.
