The Burghof Kyffhäuser monument management since 1892 is located on the mountain top right at the foot of the Kyffhäuser monument . In the historic building complex there is both a restaurant with home-style cooking and overnight accommodation. The oldest hall, the Barbarossa hall, was opened in 1892. The fireplace figure designed by Bruno Schmitz represented a bard . The ground floor in Romanesque style made of sandstone and the upper floor in Scandinavian style made of wood were also designed by Schmitz.

From May 1, 1951, the property was a rest home of the VVB Braunkohleverwaltung Meuselwitz , from June 1954 the Glückauf rest home of the FDGB . In 1961 the central building was destroyed in a fire. The reconstruction lasted until 1966.

After the reunification of Germany in 1990, the courtyard was privatized and registered as a monument three years later. In 2003 the farm was acquired by the current owners and extensively renovated. In April 2004 the beer garden and restaurant were reopened.
