Burke Ridge is a low and partly snow-covered mountain ridge with three prominent rocky outcrops in the Prince Charles Mountains of the East Antarctic Mac-Robertson Land . It rises 40 miles south of Mount Newton .

The ridge was discovered in 1971 on aerial photographs taken by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1960. Triangulation measurements were carried out in 1972. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it in 1973 after Edward H. Burke, a surveyor who explored the Prince Charles Mountains in 1970 and 1972. On January 17, 1971, a helicopter crashed here .
