The Frauenberg cemetery is a municipal cemetery in Fulda on the northern slope of the Kalvarienberg below the Frauenberg monastery .

The cemetery was originally laid out in 1894 as a cemetery for the then independent community of Horas, west of the village, between Kalvarienberg and Klosterberg.

Extensions were made down the slope to the regional railway line Fulda-Gießen. With an area of ​​96,474 square meters , it offers space for 5,700 graves.

The cemetery cross from the time shortly after the cemetery was opened is described as a simple cross and is a cultural monument according to the Hessian Monument Protection Act .

  • Anton Storch (1892–1975), politician, born in Fulda. Federal Minister for Labor from 1949–1957.
