Daniel Burkholz

Daniel Burkholz (born September 20, 1963 in Würzburg ) is a German filmmaker.

Life

After many years of experience as a lawyer , for environmental protection organizations and as head of an environmental protection agency, he founded the company Roadside Documentary in 2005 . His films have been presented at international film festivals from Trinidad to Beijing and used in their work by human rights organizations around the world. In 2016 he founded Edition Roadside , which publishes literature on socio-political topics.

Marriages and awards

Daniel Burkholz is the recipient of the international documentary film award of the Festival del documentario d´Abruzzo . He is best known for NO PASARAN , Brigadistas, Verboten- Ver sucht -Vergessen and Shortcut to Justice , which was created in collaboration with the filmmaker Sybille Fezer .
