Burnham is an impact crater on the front of the moon , southeast of Albategnius crater and northeast of Vogel . The crater wall is interrupted and consists of two irregularly shaped parts. The inside is uneven.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the American astronomer Sherburne Wesley Burnham .
