The Burns Glacier is a 20 kilometer-long glacier in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Southern Cross Mountains it flows in a northerly direction along the east side of the Pinckard Table in the southwest flank of the Tinker Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1955 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after John P. Burns, radio operator at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic Winter of the Years 1963 and 1967.
