The Burton Cove is a small cove on the southwestern tip of Bird Iceland west front of South Georgia . It is located immediately east of Pearson Point .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977 after Robert W. Burton, assistant to the British Antarctic Survey in determining the fur seal populations on Bird Island between 1971 and 1972.
