Bushuyev beef

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Bushuyev cattle ( Russian : Бушуевская , Buschujewskaja ) is a breed of cattle from Uzbekistan .

origin

The Bushuyev cattle come from the Golodnaya steppe , from the Syr Darja and Gulistan districts in the Syr Darja province in Uzbekistan . They are widespread in many districts of the Tashkent province , but also in the provinces of Samarkand , Ferghana , Surchandarja and others.

Breeding history

The Golodnaya steppe was settled at the beginning of the 20th century. The imported European cattle breeds, however, had major problems with the continental steppe climate. The babesiosis caused problems. MM Buschujew bred a new breed by local Zebu -Rinder with Holsteins lowland cattle , Brown Swiss - and some Simmental crossed -Stieren.

Situation today

Today the animals are bred on farms in the districts of Syr Darya , Gulistan and Voroshilov in the provinces of Syr Darya , Tashkent , Samarkand and Khorezmia in Karakalpakstan and Uzbekistan . The majority of these cattle (86%) are concentrated in Syrdarya Province . The total number in 1980 was 21,000 animals.
