Jewish Trust Corporation

The Jewish Trust Corporation ( JTC ) (German translated: Jüdische Treuhandgesellschaft) is a Jewish trustee agency.

Facility

It was founded in 1950 in post-war Germany for the British and French occupation zones , in particular to record and secure Jewish assets without heirs.

Norbert Wollheim was one of the co-founders . Among other things , it also took ownership of Jewish cemeteries , as well as former synagogues.

In the American sector there was the Jewish Restitution Successor Organization .

One of the legal bases is the Federal Restitution Act .
