Buster Drayton
Buster Drayton (* 2. March 1952 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania , USA as Moses Buster Drayton ) is a retired American boxer in the light middleweight and world champion of the IBF .
Professional career
In his professional debut in 1978 he boxed against his compatriot Charles Carey in a draw. Already in his 10th fight, he suffered his first defeat when Kevin Perry him in a scheduled 10 round bout in the third round ko suggested.
In June 1986 he defeated the Puerto Rican Carlos Santos (balance 34-1-0) over 15 rounds by majority decision and thus captured the vacant world championship title of the IBF association. He defended this belt on March 27 of the following year against Said Skouma (22-4-0) by TKo in round 10 and lost it in June of the same year to the previously undefeated Canadian Matthew Hilton (record 26-0-0-) by unanimous decision.
