The Butchers Spur is a high, icy rock spur in the west Antarctic Marie-Byrd-Land . It falls from Mount Don Pedro Christophersen to the polar plateau and marks the southern edge of the Queen Maud Mountains .
In this place, the Norwegian polar explorer was Roald Amundsen in November 1911 at his successful South Pole expedition (1910 to 1912) much of the sled dogs as a food supply for the South Pole team and the other dogs kill and named him as Butcher Shop ( German butcher ).
