From the Butzemannhaus
There was a morning children's program from the Butzemannhaus on Radio DDR I , which was broadcast from 8:40 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Intro jingle
All the children, all the dolls,
even the cheeky jumping jack,
are now nicely quiet and quiet,
and quickly come very close.
Songs, fairy tales and stories,
including a colorful bouquet of flowers,
are a greeting for good children
from the Butzemannhaus.
The melody comes from Manfred Roost . In a later version of the text it was called "the funny jumping jack" instead of "the cheeky jumping jack" and "all children" instead of "good children".
Content
Child-friendly topics were dealt with. For example, the character “Farmer Lindemann” told stories about life and work in agriculture every Tuesday. On Wednesdays there was a show for birthday children. Other characters were "Vater Star", "Käpt'n Brise" (Thursday; spoken by Karl Brenk ) and "Kleiner Pfennig" (Saturday; spoken by Waltraut Kramm ). A fairy tale radio play was usually broadcast on Sunday .

In the 1960s and 1970s, three children's books were published containing stories and songs from the radio broadcast.
