Andréas Harry

Andréas Härry (born March 11, 1964 in Bern ) is a Swiss musical writer , producer, theater director and journalist.

Originally working in sales , marketing and as a copywriter , Härry started full-time in event management in 1996 . In this capacity he wrote and produced various musical productions for commercial applications.

In 2002 his first full-length musical came on the stage of the Culture and Congress Center Lucerne : The Dragon Stone (music: Jürg Gisler ). This stage play was resumed in 2003 and 2007 and is the most successful musical production from Central Switzerland to date . In 2005 his second work came on the same stage: Jonas & Madelaine (music: Marina Macura) was performed around 40 times.

In autumn 2006, Härry and Sonja Greber converted an industrial building in the south of Kriens into a theater for 350 people. In Le Théâtre Kriens-Luzern his third stage production premiered: The Glamor Sisters . Among others on stage: Isabelle Flachsmann , Irène Straub and Paloma Würth .

As a producer, he brought the Cole Porter classic Kiss Me, Kate to the KKL stage in 2004 . In autumn 2007 he realized cabaret at Le Théâtre with Isabelle Flachsmann as Sally Bowles . In autumn 2008 Härry produced Jesus Christ Superstar , in autumn 09 Evita followed , in spring 2010 Der kleine Horrorladen in a local dialect version that he adapted. In the winter of 2010/11 he realized a new production of Grease . A year later, in 2011/2012, Hair came on stage with German dialogues, some of which were new, adapted by Härry. For the Le Théâtre production in Chicago (November 2012 to January 2013) he and Irène Straub realized a new translation into German and an adaptation of the dialogues. In autumn 2013 he produced the German premiere of the musical Flashdance . A year later he adapted the musical Saturday Night Fever for the Le Théâtre Kriens-Luzern stage. In autumn 2015, Härry produced the Swiss premiere and world premiere of a German-language version of the musical Daddy Cool , for which he also wrote the book. In autumn 2016 Andréas Härry produced the world premiere of the musical Summer of '85, written by him and Irène Straub .

In the late summer of 2017, Andréas Härry and Sonja Greber opened the new Le Théâtre in Emmenbrücke , which they headed , in the building of the former Gersag congress center . There the musical 95 - Ninety-Five , composed in turn by Härry and Straub, was premiered. In December 2018 Andréas Härry produced the Swiss premiere of the musical Sister Act ., In the following spring a new production of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar . The Swiss premiere of the musical Rock of Ages (musical) followed in December 2019 . In December 2020, Härry will produce the Swiss premiere of On Your Feet (Musical) , a show based on the life stories of Gloria Estefan and her husband Emilio.

In addition to his functions as a theater director and author and producer of musicals, Andréas Härry works as a journalist for Anzeiger Luzern .
