Jonas & Madelaine
The musical production Jonas & Madelaine (music: Marina Macura , book: Andréas Härry ) was premiered in December 2005 in the Culture and Congress Center Lucerne (KKL). The artistic cast comprised 40 stage actors and a 16-piece orchestra. Over 550 costumes were used, due to the long, historical period of the plot.
It tells the love story of a couple from Lucerne. They met as children in 1932 on Lake Lucerne and remained fatefully connected to each other throughout their lives. Lucerne , California and Paris serve as the backdrop .
Swiss actors played in the performances in 2005 and 2006, including the well-known radio legends Ueli Beck and Elisabeth Schnell , the model and pop singer Paloma Würth and the coloratura soprano Irène Straub .
Jonas & Madelaine was played 40 times in the Lucerne Hall of the KKL and attended by 20,000 spectators. The piece is - after the musical Der Drachenstein - the second most successful musical production from Central Switzerland.
