Buzošná

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Buzošná ( German Riesenbach ) was a settlement in the Czech district of Okres Klatovy , south of Kašperské Hory . Today only ruins remain of Buzošná .

geography

Buzošná was about 800 m in the river valley of the Losenice between the mountains Valy in the south and Šafářův vršek in the north. Southeast of the ruins is Popelná , which already belongs to okres Prachatice , to the northwest the settlements Karlina Pila and Bílý Potok, which belong to Kašperské Hory.

history

A mill stood here as early as the first half of the 19th century. It is shown on a map from the 1930s as a hydroelectric power station owned by the Červená electricity company . The remains of two buildings are still preserved today: on the left of the Losenice the original mill with the remains of the mill gear, on the right a smaller building, which was probably used to generate electricity and through which water flows underground. Most of the walls are overgrown, but the mill's vaulted cellars have been preserved.
