C&L publishing house

The publishing house C&L (short for "Computer and Literature") in Böblingen was founded in 1996 . He publishes computer textbooks on topics such as programming ( Delphi , Java , databases ), networks and Unix / Linux , as well as the bimonthly Unix magazine freeX . Several authors of the Toolbox magazine also publish books at C&L . FreeX was discontinued in October 2012 and incorporated into the admin magazine , which was incorporated into IT administrator in April 2014 .

The publisher was a sponsor of LinuxTag from 1999 to 2004 and organized the open source booth at Systems from 2005 to 2007, where several open source projects and Wikipedia were exhibiting.

The liquidation of the publishing house was initiated in November 2018.
