César de Sabran

César de Sabran de Forcalquier († June 19, 1720 in Entrevaux ) was bishop of the Glandéves diocese in France from 1702 to 1720 .

Life

César de Sabran was the son of Charles de Sabran, from the family of the Counts of Forcalquier . He was Capiscol (cathedral scholaster ) and canon in Riez . Appointed Bishop of Glandèves on June 3, 1702 , he was preconized on September 25, and after his consecration personally took over his episcopal church.

Bishop Sabran stayed little in his diocese; he preferred Aix-en-Provence or Paris to stay. There he assisted on May 2, 1706 in the ordination of the Bishop of Nevers , Édouard Bargedé.

He died on July 19, 1720 in his bishop's palace (Palais de la Sedz).
