C-Lion is a telecommunications submarine cable that connects Finland and Germany . It was put into operation in March 2016.

The 1,172 km long cable runs from Finland through the Baltic Sea to Germany, with a branch to Hanko in Finland since October 2017. In addition, there are plans for the future to connect the cable with other countries - including the Baltic countries , the United Kingdom , the Benelux countries , France , Eastern European countries , Russia - as well as the Arctic Fiber .
