CC motif chemokine 12 (CCL12) is a protein from the group of chemokines in rats and mice .

properties

CCL12 is produced in the lymph nodes and the thymus . It is chemoattractive to eosinophils , monocytes, and lymphocytes , but not to neutrophils . CCL12 binds to CCR2 and is involved in allergy and pathogen defense . CCL12 has two disulfide bridges . Its gene is on chromosome 11 in mice .
