CC chemokine receptor type 1 (CCR1) is a surface protein from the group of chemokine receptors .

properties

CCR1 is a G protein-coupled receptor and is produced by various hematopoietic cells. It binds CC-type chemokines such as MIP-1-alpha (CCL3), MIP-1-delta , RANTES (CCL5) and MCP-3 (CCL7). With lower affinity is MIP-1-beta and MCP-1 bound. After binding, the cellular concentration of the second messenger Ca 2+ increases . CCR1 is glycosylated and phosphorylated .

CCR1 is being studied for the treatment of autoimmune and infectious diseases .
