CGTN = China Global Television Network ( CCTV News ) is a Chinese television broadcaster . It went on air on September 25, 2000 and is produced in Beijing . CCTV News sends a news program in English and is over Satellite (Hotbird, Astra), the cable networks of Unitymedia and on the Internet via live video stream freely receivable (website, Livestation ).
The program belongs to the state-controlled China Central Television broadcasting group and focuses primarily on news and documentaries from Asia and the People's Republic of China .
