Integrin α-X (synonym CD11c) is a surface protein from the group of integrins .

properties

Integrin α-X binds to integrin β-2 (synonym CD18) and thus forms heterodimers . Together they form a receptor for fibrinogen by binding to its sequence GPR. It is also involved in cell contacts during inflammation . Integrin α-X is formed in monocytes , granulocytes and dendritic cells and is used for chemotaxis and cell adhesion . It's glycosylated .
